## Getting the grant

- **MRSS:** make a one-time PayNow top-up by **31 December** or set up a GIRO top-up by **31 October**. The grant is credited by the end of February the next year.
- **Matched MediSave:** top up any time in the year, up to your Basic Healthcare Sum. The grant is credited at the start of the next year.
- Anyone can top up for you: loved ones, employers, caregivers or community members.
- You must still be a Singapore Citizen when the grant is credited.
- Cash top-ups that attract a matching grant are **not eligible for tax relief**.

## Examples

- Topping up $2,000 a year gives a $2,000 grant, adding $4,000.
- A $3,000 top-up under MRSS earns a $2,000 grant, the yearly cap.
